Frequently Asked Questions

What’s web hosting?

• Servers (website hosting) are the home of your website's content. If the domain name was the address of your house, then web hosting is the actual house that the address points to. All the websites on the internet are hosted on servers.

• With SitesGo, your website will be hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services), the same platform used by LinkedIn, BBC, Netflix to name a few. Our Amazon servers are regularly monitored for unauthorized access and audited. Your website also benefits from two Tier 1 CDNs (content delivery networks), so it's guaranteed to load fast all over the world.

• And the best part? You don't have to worry about purchasing server space or maintaining your website as it's all included as a part of our paid plans!

How do I connect my domain to my website?

Domain is the name of your website. If you have purchased your domain from Godaddy or Namecheap, we will help you connect that domain name to your website. If you haven’t purchased it, we can guide you on your first domain purchase!

How do I send edits, updates, & new blog content to SitesGo?

Updating your website has never been easier. Just email us your required changes and have it reflected within 48 to 72 hours.

What are site changes and how are they calculated?

Can I host my site elsewhere?

You can export your website and host it anywhere you'd like. We recommend using free options such as Github. However, CMS Collections cannot be exported and forms (including site search) code will have to be updated.

What are form submissions?

Forms help you collect submissions from your website visitors such as their information, interest to participate in your conference, email IDs, etc. You can customize notification emails, and download submissions as a CSV. $1 per 100 extra submissions. Premium users get form file upload storage up to 10GB, and $0.50/month per GB after that. You can clear storage by deleting submissions.

What are site analytics?

Our Pro users enjoy free Google Analytics Integration to their website. Google Analytics includes powerful metrics like how many users and pageviews a site is getting, how long people are spending on the site, and how many of them are leaving the page without clicking other links (bounce rate). Google Analytics also allows you to see where the traffic to your site is coming from. You can login to your google account to view it.

What's CMS?

• CMS (Content Management System) is the software interface you can use to create, edit, and publish new articles or pages without requiring any coding knowledge.
• Under our Pro plan, you are able to use CMS templates built by us to publish unlimited new blog articles to your website. It is as simple as publishing a new Facebook post.

What is CDN Bandwidth?

CDN (content delivery network) ensures faster page loads by delivering content from the servers closest to the visitor. CDN bandwidth is a measurement of the total size of all files served to your site visitors.

What is Third-party Integration?

Third-party integrations include any external plugins and widgets that you want to put on your website such as Calendly, Mailchimp, Evenbrite, Typeform etc. on to their website.
